Organization of Cervical Cancer Screening in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Analysis of consumer satisfaction with specialized medical care.

Relevance: In Kazakhstan, 2 women die from cervical cancer every day. It is an easily detectable, screenable disease that must be prevented from causing death.
The study aimed to assess rural women’s perceptions of service quality in the cervical cancer screening program in the Almaty region and identify barriers to seeking care.
Materials and methods: A sociological survey of 819 questionnaires (two samples: 407 and 412 respondents) among women aged 30–70, conducted at primary care and a multidisciplinary clinic. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS8.0; differences were considered significant at p<0.05 (Student’s t‑test).
Results: Screening coverage declined from 92.9% in 2021 to 54.9% in 2023; 59.1% did not attend due to lack of time, 16.8% were unaware of the disease, 71.9% did not seek care when symptomatic; satisfaction with screening quality was high (≈94% “excellent/good”). Low awareness of HPV vaccination (18.7%) and a need for educational outreach were identified.
Conclusion: To improve program effectiveness, strengthen patient communication, implement convenient result‑delivery channels, and expand educational activities in rural areas.
