Abstract

Relevance: Women with low ovarian reserve represent one of the most difficult groups to treat in assisted reproductive technology (ART) programs. In cases of previous unsuccessful in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts, supportive medications, including dietary supplements, play a particularly important role. Herbal preparations are widely used as part of complex therapy for menstrual cycle disorders and may be applied in conditions associated with impaired reproductive function.
The study aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the “Time-Factor” phyto-vitamin complex in patients with reduced ovarian reserve undergoing IVF preparation.
Materials and Methods: A clinical study included 50 women with a mean age of 35.28 ± 4.37 years and anti-Müllerian hormone levels ≤ 1.3 ng/ml, who had previously experienced unsuccessful IVF attempts. The “Time-Factor” phyto-vitamin complex was administered for 2 months prior to the stimulation protocol and during the treatment cycle. The analysis included 50 IVF programs before and 50 IVF programs after the use of the“Time-Factor” phyto-vitamin complex in the same patients. The parameters assessed included the ovarian response, embryo quality, pregnancy rates, and subjective improvement of well-being.
Results: The use of “Time-Factor” was associated with significant improvements in reproductive outcomes: total number of retrieved oocytes increased from 284 (mean 5.6 ± 2.47) to 325 (mean 6.5 ± 2.18), mature oocytes (MII) from 139 (mean 2.7 ± 1.50) to 184 (mean 3.6 ± 1.74), and blastocyst yield from 74 (mean 1.4 ± 1.07) to 117 (mean 2.3 ± 1.27). The pregnancy rate was 24%.
Conclusion: The Time-Factor” phyto-vitamin complex may serve as an effective adjunct in preparing women with low ovarian reserve for ART programs, improving stimulation outcomes and overall well-being.
