Relevance: The Turkistan Region of Kazakhstan is characterized by high birth rates, a predominance of rural settlements, and a notable environmental burden. These factors underscore the importance of analyzing the regional prevalence of congenital developmental anomalies (CDAs).
The study aimed to analyze indicators of congenital developmental anomalies in the Turkistan region in relation to socio-demographic and environmental characteristics.
Materials and Methods: The study was conducted as a descriptive-analytical analysis based on official data from the Bureau of National Statistics, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and environmental monitoring for the period 2020–2023.
Results: The study revealed fluctuating annual trends in infant mortality due to CDAs, as well as consistently high levels of morbidity and disability among children aged 1–16 years. These findings are associated with the region’s specific socio-demographic and environmental conditions.
Conclusion: The study demonstrates the regional features of CDAs in the Turkistan area and underscores the importance of considering these factors when planning maternal and child health protection measures.
