About the Journal

Reproductive Medicine (Central Asia) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal.

The Journal was established in 2009 by the Public Association “Independent Association of Reproductive Medicine” based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is published quarterly and has a circulation of 500 copies. The Journal is archived in the Kazakhstan National Electronic Library and has been indexed in the Kazakhstan National Сitation Base since 2015. The Journal has been registered with Crossref since 2020.

The Journal is included in List 1 of the publications recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for publishing the primary outcomes of scientific activity (Order No. 302 dated Feb. 28, 2025).

Aims and Scope: The Journal endeavors to disseminate the latest advancements in national and global scientific research in reproductive medicine, female health, male health, and children’s health. The Journal publishes original research, clinical cases, and analytical reviews addressing contemporary topics in reproductive medicine and children’s diseases, male and female reproductive health, and public management of reproductive health.

Our target audience includes reproductive specialists, gynecologists, andrologists, pediatricians, as well as doctors of other specialties interested in reproductive health problems.

The journal is distributed in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

In 2023, the share of rejected articles was 41%, the average time to the first editorial decision – 70 days.

The article processing charge (APC) is KZT 50,000 for a 10-page manuscript (font 12, with 1.5 line spacing), with an additional KZT 10,000 for each subsequent page (including title pages and references ). The APC is payable only after the manuscript has passed the review procedure and been accepted for publication. Prepayment of APC does not influence the editorial decision on publication.
